ED Series Gearbox Daily Maintenance:
Operators are responsible for performing daily maintenance and completing the following operations:
1. After the gearbox has run for the first 100 hours (including intermittent operation), clean the inside of the gearbox and brake (if applicable) with cleaning fluid and change the lubricating oil.
2. Check the gearbox and brake for metal shavings.
3. It is best to change the oil while it is still warm, as this facilitates the drainage of old oil from the tank.
4. Thereafter, change the oil every 2,000-2,500 hours of operation, or at least annually.
5. Do not use mixed oils.
6. Check the oil level regularly (monthly). If the oil level drops, replenish it promptly.
Note: If the gearbox is equipped with a multi-plate brake or hydraulic drive motor, the gearbox oil level may rise, which may be due to leakage in the brake or motor oil seals.
7. Each gearbox has a record card; please fill it out and record each maintenance information promptly.
